A haven of peace in the Regional Natural Park of Causses du Quercy !

Ideally located only a few steps from Cahors, we will have the pleasure to welcome you in our authentic bed & breakfast where its four very comfortable rooms with a warm atmosphere are favourable to rest.

Its secluded location, off a small country road, bordered on one side by a natural area planted with old oaks and on the other by the GR65; the Via Podiensis of the Santiago de Compostela route, offers you the opportunity for a break full of serenity and tranquility.

The surrounding nature and the charm of our guest house are favorable to the stroll and the return of the simple pleasures of life.

Come and settle down on one of our terraces and enjoy the quietness of the place. You will be able to admire the beautifully preserved dovecote and sheepfold, share a game of pétanque, read a book or listen to the birds singing.

For pilgrims or hikers, there is nothing better than the rural setting of La Quintarde to recharge your batteries and regenerate after several days of walking. You will find a guaranteed well being there!

For the visitors of the region, we are ideally located in the Regional Park of Causses du Quercy to discover the emblematic places of the Lot, Cahors, St Cirq Lapopie, Rocamadour….

For the gastronomes, La Quintarde is located in the middle of the vineyards of Haute-Serre, Pech de Jammes and Haut de St Georges and 10 mn from Lalbenque, capital of the truffle. 

It is for all these reasons that we settled here, in Flaujac-Poujols, after having lived more than 20 years in Martinique.

This house, which we fell in love with, we discovered while walking the road to St Jacques de Compostelle in September 2020.

Leaving alone from Le Puy en Velay in the direction of Saint-Jean Pied de Port, Christine joined me on the Mas de Vers-Cahors stage on September 12. During this unique stage done together, while walking along the garden and the stone buildings of La Quintarde, we were seduced by the beauty of the place and its atmosphere.

On the gate of the park, the sign “for sale” was waiting for us. “There is no chance!”

A year later, we became the owner, with the ambition to renovate this quercynoise respecting its history and its territory. After a few months of work, carried out with the family and accompanied by very competent craftsmen from the area, we are ready and happy to welcome you to La Quintarde, in an atmosphere that we wish to be friendly, authentic, sincere and warm.

In the evening, dinner is served and shared at our table but if you wish more intimacy, it is also possible to take your meal a little apart in the large room which gives on the garden and as soon as the weather allows it, outside in the shade of the oak tree or near the well.

Our table d’hôtes (evening meal) favors local products from small farms in the Lot and, depending on the season and the rhythm of nature, fruits and vegetables from the garden. You can also taste a good Cahors wine from our selection.
